NJ Region attends an OET Test
An Outdoor Emergency Transportation (OET) exam was held at Belleayre Mountain Ski Area in Highmount, New York on March 10, 2024. Three candidates from the Campgaw Mountain Ski Patrol attended and successfully passed the exam. Shown below are Tim Lawler, Bill McGuire and Brad Luff. Also attending, and passing the test, (not shown) was Patrick McCormack of the Mt. Peter Ski Patrol, Warwick NY.
The Outdoor Emergency Transportation (OET) program provides NSP members with on snow training for skiing, riding, telemark and toboggan handling skills.
Note that Bill and Brad are now full Alpine Patrollers while Tim is awaiting passage of the OEC exam this Spring. The Campgaw Patrol looks forward to seeing all three in their red jackets keeping our slopes safe next season!
